Cowboys, Packers and Lions!

The Cowboys always go first in the headline, but today we need to begin this post with the Lions.

More specifically, our son Kekoa's flag football team, the Lions.

Here's our boy as the quarterback about to make a handoff...

Kekoa isn't the biggest boy his age, but he is quick running with the ball...

Neither Cari nor I can figure out where he gets that characteristic!

Actually, he is particularly good in the defensive backfield because he just slices through the blockers and grabs the runner's flag.

Again, speed is not something he gets from his parents (unless you consider the lightning fast speed a piece of fried chicken disappears from my plate).

Kekoa's Lions played on Saturday, then it was on to Sunday's game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers.

I was lucky enough to get a pair of tickets from friend who didn't need them - and I brought along my brother-in-law Paul who is a rabid Cowboys fan.

Although walking into Lambeau Field, you might think that we were in New York and the Jets were playing...

If you look closely, those are not Packer jerseys, those are Brett Favre - New York Jets jerseys!

Sorry Mr. Rodgers, this still ain't quite your neighborhood.

But based on the game, the Wisconsin native Tony Romo might be invited to live in the neighborhood...

Then again, it was Marion Barber and the Cowboys running game that thrashed the Packers for 218 rushing yards...

I will admit that although Mr. Rodgers ended up like this on five sacks...

He was quite impressive in eluding what could have been another 5 or 6 sacks.

The Cowboys - Packers game set an all-time record for attendance at Lambeau Field...

Although with nearly 9 minutes to go in the 4th Quarter, a whole lot of Packer fans started heading for the exit...

How 'bout dem Cowboys!

And Lions, too!
