Earlier this week we took as little excursion to see the hallowed halls of Lambeau Field...
We took a tour through the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and the kids got a chance to sit in the replica of the office once used by the legendary Vince Lombardi.
Bretty decided to pretend to be Lombardi and took a seat behind the desk. But to be an authentic Lombardi, he had to be screaming...
No matter how much Lombardi yelled, ya gotta think he'd have been a lot smarter about handling Brett Favre.
The kids were most confused about the uniforms of the old Packers.
Consider that this is the uniform that they wore decades ago that buttoned at the bottom...
For such supposedly big and tough guys, their uniforms looked remarkably familiar...
They did enjoy standing next to the Packer's three super bowl trophies...
Of course, our boys did note that even though the Packers have been in the NFL nearly twice as long as the Cowboys, they have fewer Super Bowl victories!
There is also quite a section in the Hall of Fame about the famous Ice Bowl, including the lineup of the legendary play in the last seconds of the game when Bart Starr dives in for a touchdown.
So the kids all lined up...
Strangely, we noticed that four of the kids lined up with the defense in an attempt to stuff the Packers. Well, it appears that Nalani noticed this on the helmets of the defense...
Yep, that's a Cowboys star - so that's where they lined up! Unfortunately, you know how the Ice Bowl ends even though a "frame by frame" analysis an admission by Jerry Kramer showed that the Packers were offsides so the touchdown should have been called back.
Not that I'm still upset about that or anything.
Kekoa has also become quite a Cowboys fan and even has his own uniform...
Although to get that picture, Bretty must have thrown his brother about a hundred passes...
Go Cowboys!
