It all started with her birtday cake. Unlike most everyone else in the house who prefers birthday pies or birthday cupcakes, Nalani needed a cake.
And not just a cake, but a princess cake, complete with Cinderella, Belle (from Beauty and the Beast), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), and Ariel (the Little Mermaid)...
There's so much estrogen on that cake that I almost had a hot flash myself.
So here we are singing "Happy Birthday" to little Nalani...
Of course, opening presents in our home is quite an adventure. Everyone has to stick in their head to get a closer look...
Typical of this little girl, everything was remarkably girly.
A collection of Kelly dolls (Barbie's little sister)...
Really sparkly shoes, of course...
Note that she's even wearing a ring on her thumb!
And the thing she wanted most - her very own Barbie Tea Set...
So Nalani made everyone gather 'round the table for their first cup of tea.
Notice how my boy David was so excited to be invited to the party...
Then again, Nalani does act like her brothers every now and then...
